The Challenge
Smart Mobiles is a trusted phone repair shop in Muthupet, Tamil Nadu, run by two brothers operating two shops directly opposite each other on PKT Road for over 16 years. They needed a website that reflected their reputation, made it easy for local customers to find them, and worked reliably even on slow mobile networks. Additionally, while the visual identity was initially designed in a premium dark theme, client feedback emphasized the need for a highly legible, clean light interface to cater to customers checking services on mobile screens outdoors.
The Solution
We engineered a custom Progressive Web Application (PWA) built with pure HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript, featuring an offline service worker with Stale-While-Revalidate caching. In response to client feedback, we refined the visual style, transitioning it from the initial premium dark theme into a modern light interface. To support local users, we integrated a dynamic live business status badge, an English/Tamil bilingual toggle with localStorage memory, and a custom alternating sticky call bar for their two shops. The UX is polished with an exit-intent popup, FAQ accordions via the Web Animations API, and animated scroll reveal effects.
The Outcome
Delivered a near-instant loading, offline-capable PWA with best-in-class local SEO indexing. The website perfectly represents their 16-year reputation, establishing their first-ever online presence, and simplifies how local Muthupet customers check services, business hours, and store location to contact them for repairs.
